The Laundry Basket is hiring a part-time Community Operations Ambassador in Houston, Texas. This local, in-person role is ideal for a people-oriented, detail-focused professional who enjoys representing a community-focused laundry service, supporting partner locations, and building local connections.
About The Laundry Basket
The Laundry Basket® LLC is a veteran-founded, socially conscious, on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning service focused on convenience, sustainability, and community impact. As the company expands in Houston, the Community Operations Ambassador will help strengthen local awareness and service quality.
Responsibilities
- Represent The Laundry Basket at community events, networking meetups, and local activations.
- Visit laundromat partner locations and check cleanliness, signage, and customer service against brand standards.
- Connect customers and laundromat partners with the main office.
- Support local marketing campaigns and distribute flyers and promotional materials.
- Gather and report customer feedback.
- Document site visits and events with photos and brief written recaps.
Requirements
- Must be based in Houston, Texas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and availability for occasional evening or weekend events.
- Customer service, retail, event, or promotional experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and participate in weekly check-ins.
Schedule and Compensation
- Part-time schedule of 5–10 hours per week.
- Hourly rate of $15–$20, based on experience.
