📢 Employment Opportunity – Community Wellness Recovery Support Relative
Fort McMurray 468 First Nation is currently seeking a Community Wellness Recovery Support Relative to support Nation members navigating addictions and recovery.
Working under the direction of the Community Wellness Manager, this role focuses on providing wholistic support across mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness, while building meaningful relationships with members throughout different stages of recovery. The position is part of an integrated support team using a culturally safe and trauma-informed approach rooted in Cree and Dene worldviews.
Responsibilities include helping members develop individualized recovery wellness plans, connecting them with internal and external supports, providing ongoing guidance, supporting crisis situations when appropriate, collaborating with the wellness team, and maintaining confidential records.
Applicants must have a degree or diploma in a Human Services field, active registration with the appropriate professional body, and 3–5 years of related experience. Lived experience is considered an asset, along with knowledge of and connection to FM468FN or other First Nations communities.
