Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective compliance program to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, while driving key compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities:Leads the monitoring and evaluation of compliance and process effectiveness, identifying gaps, recommending corrective actions, and driving continuous operational discipline and compliance across organization‑wide compliance programs to ensure alignment with policies and organizational objectives.Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to establish and enforce compliance protocols, enhancing operational consistency and accountability.Develops and delivers comprehensive training, coaching, and advisory support to promote understanding, adoption, and consistent application of compliance best practices.Produces reports for senior management and key stakeholders, providing status updates, identified risks, ongoing activities, and remediation progress.Interprets, applies, and reinforces company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure strong, ongoing compliance.Oversees compliance initiatives by conducting investigations, implementing corrective action plans, and strengthening organizational controls.Supports the development of group members and encourages collaboration within the team, helping to enhance engagement and productivity.Defines and monitors departmental KPIs to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.Leads, models and ensures consistent application of policies and regulatory standards across teams to support ethical operations and mitigate compliance risks.Leads and validates the planning and execution of restoration and emergency preparedness activities to strengthen operational resilience and response capacity.Assumes and oversees expanded duties aligned with organizational priorities and professional scope to drive departmental effectiveness and strategic alignment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Education :Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field from an accredited university. Juris Doctor is preferred
Experience:5 of experience in legal compliance work (compliance, risk management, internal audit, or a similar functional role)Experience managing day-to-day operations, teams, defining work plans and achieving departmental objectives.Additional education may substitute for the required experience when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of experience in legal compliance work and at least 2 years in a Manager role.
Competencies (Skills):Superior analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture and interpret and assess the short- and long-term impacts of actions and strategies.Strong interpersonal, organizational and management skillsAbility to influence and communicate effectively with senior company personnel, external consultants, legal counsel, regulatory agency staff and industry stakeholders.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees through various means such as email, phone, video conferencing, and in-person.Strong ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and facilitate meetings as related to strategy, training, and collaborating with various stakeholders.Ability to effectively prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and resolve conflicting priorities.Proficient skills in the use of computer applications (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Licenses/CertificationsValid Driver’s LicenseCertified Compliance and Ethics Professional is preferred.
