Job description
A design-build construction firm is seeking a Construction Project Manager to coordinate field teams and support safe, high-quality project delivery in the Washington, DC metro area. This full-time, on-site position is suited to an organized, motivated candidate with construction experience; internships may also be available.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects, field operations, schedules, productivity, site safety, and work quality.
- Assist with estimates, CAD drafting, preconstruction, baseline schedules, and site utilization plans.
- Plan and manage subcontractor scopes to support timely delivery and quality workmanship.
- Lead foreman meetings, resolve daily field issues, and coordinate laborers, carpenters, and other field staff.
- Communicate and enforce the company safety program, applicable OSHA standards, and job-site housekeeping requirements.
- Develop project and look-ahead schedules and provide monthly project updates.
- Coordinate with utility providers, local officials, subcontractors, vendors, and project staff.
- Prepare daily reports with progress photos and labor totals; review shop drawings and draft RFIs to address conflicts.
- Manage site logistics and material tracking, and coordinate material testing and code-compliance activities.
