Job description
About the role
Hays is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations for ground-up projects throughout the region. The contractor has a strong project pipeline and a commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage onsite construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to achieve milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Lead daily site meetings and communicate project goals.
- Maintain a safe job site and enforce company safety policies.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays.
- Coordinate inspections and owner walkthroughs.
- Maintain relationships with owners, architects, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent.
- Experience with education, K-12, higher education, municipal, civic, government, or institutional projects.
- Experience managing projects involving structural steel and/or cast-in-place concrete construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules.
- Experience coordinating MEP trades and complex building systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
