Controller

About the role

Robert Half is working with a publicly traded, rapidly scaling technology company at the forefront of the transition toward cleaner, more reliable energy. The company is looking for a Controller to take ownership of the accounting function as the business grows. The role reports directly to the CFO and oversees a team of four accounting/finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting.
• Lead SEC reporting, including 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Maintain and strengthen SOX controls and accounting policies.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and support complex accounting matters.
• Lead ERP implementation and ongoing finance systems improvements.
• Manage and develop the accounting/finance team while partnering closely with the CFO.

Requirements

• CPA with 10+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
• Strong Big 4 foundation and experience in public companies and smaller or growth environments.
• Proven SOX and SEC reporting experience, including 10-K and 10-Q.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience with ERP implementations.
• Excellent communication skills and an approachable, collaborative leadership style.
• Comfort operating hands-on while building for the future.
