Conveyor Belt Supervisor

About the role

Zafco is hiring a Conveyor Belt Supervisor to oversee conveyor belt operations, installation, splicing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and create work plans for safe and efficient work on site.
• Coordinate conveyor belt maintenance and installation work according to site requirements.
• Manage teams and coordinate site activities.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in conveyor belt operations, installation, splicing, maintenance and supervision.
• Experience with steel cord and fabric conveyor belts.
• Knowledge of hot and cold vulcanizing, mechanical splicing, belt installation, tracking and repair work.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, tools, equipment, planning and quality control.
• Ability to read and coordinate conveyor belt maintenance and installation work according to site requirements.
• Leadership and team coordination experience, strong supervisory skills and a good understanding of industrial safety standards.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites. Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
