Counselor/Advocate - Sexual Assault Support in Gettysburg, PA

Position Summary The Counselor/Advocate role at Company in Gettysburg, PA, requires a compassionate professional with a strong understanding of sexual assault and the challenges faced by survivors. This position involves providing both in-person and tele-counseling services to victims and their significant others, along with conducting community outreach throughout Adams County. Key Responsibilities Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times. Deliver client-centered, trauma-informed crisis counseling, individual and group counseling, and legal and medical advocacy/accompaniment. Provide individual advocacy and referrals to community services both in-person and via tele-counseling. Offer after-hours hotline support and in-person advocacy/accompaniment at hospitals and police departments as needed. Maintain and update client files, complete required statistical reports, and enter data into the ETO System. Participate in case management and supervision meetings. Engage in community outreach including prevention programs, awareness events, and media interviews to educate and inform the Adams County community. Qualifications Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform all essential duties effectively and possess experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
