About the role
Signature Health, Inc. provides integrated healthcare for the community, specializing in patients with mental illness and/or addiction. The full-time Counselor, School Based reports to the Supervisor, BH Services and provides services to support school students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide education, consultation and training, prevention, crisis intervention, and ongoing treatment.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for referred students, incorporating input from students, parents, and educational staff. Assessments take place at a location convenient for the family, including school, office, or home.
- Develop treatment plans in response to student needs, including specific goals, case management, and individual, group, and family counseling.
- Provide community, home, and school based counseling services to children and their families.
- Build positive relationships with school staff, students, and parents through outreach and engagement.
