Cyber Security Specialist in Waxhaw, NC | TekBricks

TekBricks is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team in Waxhaw, North Carolina. In this full-time role, you will protect our organization's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats by monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and implementing industry best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and suspicious activity
• Investigate, document, and respond promptly to security incidents
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks
• Implement and maintain security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
• Develop, enforce, and update security policies, standards, and procedures
• Perform risk assessments and recommend effective mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and maintain secure systems and infrastructure
• Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a security-conscious culture
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong understanding of network security, operating systems, and cloud security principles
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge of encryption methods, authentication protocols, and access control mechanisms
• Familiarity with incident response processes and digital forensics techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and documentation abilities to clearly convey security issues and solutions

Location: Waxhaw, North Carolina, United States (On-site role, remote work not eligible)

Compensation: $5000 per month
