Job description
TekBricks is hiring a Cyber Security Professional for an on-site, full-time position in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Help protect organizational systems, networks, and data by monitoring for threats, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security controls that support risk mitigation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and suspicious activity.
- Identify vulnerabilities and conduct risk assessments.
- Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other security tools.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Support compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Conduct security audits and penetration testing.
- Provide teams with security awareness training and best-practice guidance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network security, protocols, and architectures.
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
- Understanding of OWASP, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.
- Knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst or engineer role.
