Cytologist

Tasks

• Examine and interpret cellular samples under a microscope.
• Screen cytology specimens and identify abnormal or suspicious cells.
• Prepare, process, and evaluate laboratory specimens.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory quality standards.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field.
• Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program.
• ASCP (CT) certification or eligibility, as required.
• Knowledge of cytology screening, specimen preparation, and laboratory procedures.
• Relevant clinical or laboratory experience preferred.

Pay

• $37/hr - $60/hr (Based on experience/Interview)
