Dairy Farm Hand
Full-time or part-time

We are a progressive, family-operated dairy farm. We milk approximately 270 cows through a 20-a-side swing-over herringbone dairy and are looking for a dairy farm hand to join our small team. Dairy experience is preferred, but we will consider someone with limited experience who is reliable, has a positive attitude and is keen to learn. This yard requires the opportunity to work across all areas of the farm. We provide practical support and training to help our staff develop their skills and progress through formal and informal learning opportunities.

The Role
Responsibilities will include:
• Morning and afternoon milking
• Assisting with animal health and welfare
• Operating farm machinery and vehicles
• Pasture management and fencing
• Dairy cleaning, general machinery and farm maintenance

About You

• Has dairy farming experience or a genuine interest in developing their skills
• Has experience operating tractors and farm machinery (highly desirable)
• Is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude
• Enjoys working independently and as part of a small team
• Is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Hours and Conditions
Full-time: approximately 40 hours across four days per week
Part-time: two to three days per week
Some weekends work on a rotating roster, with multiple weekends off each month
