Data Center Operations Engineer

Tasks

• Drive on-site deployment, maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting across our Los Angeles data center sites.
• Execute rack-and-stack deployments, optical cabling, and component-level diagnostics for GPU nodes, high-throughput storage, and spine-leaf network switches.
• Execute rapid hardware triage, break-fix operations, and RMA turnarounds while adhering to established site runbooks and deployment schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for field-replaceable units (FRUs), coordinate parts staging, manage remote-hands engagements, and execute firmware updates and hardware commissioning tests.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise data center, colocation, or hyperscale cloud environments supporting high-density compute hardware.
• Troubleshooting skills across bare-metal Linux environments, server architectures, GPU/accelerator boards, power supplies, memory, and high-speed optics (400G/800G DACs, transceivers, and fiber).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, familiarity with out-of-band management (IPMI/BMC), and the ability to operate effectively within structured escalation and ticketing workflows.
