Job description
TekBricks is seeking a skilled Data Engineer in Waxhaw, North Carolina to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that enhance analytics, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Develop and manage enterprise data warehouses and data lakes
- Integrate data from diverse sources including APIs, databases, files, and cloud platforms
- Ensure high data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems
- Optimize data workflows for maximum performance and scalability
- Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
- Implement and enforce data security, governance, and compliance standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues promptly
Required Skills
- Proficient in SQL, Python, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, Talend, Informatica, or dbt
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
- Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data pipeline architectures
- Experience with CI/CD processes and version control (Git)
