About the Data Modeler Contract

Source Infotech is seeking an experienced Data Modeler for a W-2 contract role in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this on-site position, you will design and build scalable data models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and contribute to enterprise data architecture, governance, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Design dimensional models, Data Vault structures, and star and snowflake schemas.
• Apply normalization and denormalization techniques to support enterprise data needs.
• Help shape data architecture, governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
• Work with GCP services and data platforms, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Support data environments using Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, BigQuery, and Hive.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Data Modeler.
• Local candidates in North Carolina or nearby areas are preferred.
• Applicants must have H-4 EAD or OPT EAD work authorization.
• Knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical modeling, dimensional modeling, Data Vault, schema design, and normalization methods.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, databases, and data warehousing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data governance tools, data catalogs, and lineage tools.
• Background in banking, financial services, insurance, or large enterprise environments.
• Agile or Scrum experience.
• Exposure to Google Cloud data migration projects.

• Employment type: W-2 contract.
• Location: Charlotte, NC. This role is not remote.
