Data Product Engineer

About the role

Support governed data platform initiatives within regulated financial services environments.

Tasks

• Design and document semantic and physical data models.
• Lead data migration, source-to-target mapping, and transformation logic.
• Build continuous data lineage frameworks integrated with deployment pipelines.
• Implement data reconciliation controls and exception-handling mechanisms.
• Develop audit trail infrastructure with actor, timestamp, previous state, new state, and reason code.
• Define test specifications and automate data quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, privacy, and security standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience in large-scale data migration and reconciliation.
• Expertise in data modeling for governed data platforms.
• Hands-on experience building custom data lineage frameworks.
• Experience with audit traceability in regulated financial services.
• Strong AWS expertise: Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Glue, Athena, Iceberg, Lambda, Step Functions, or MWAA.
• Experience with automated data quality testing and deployment pipelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Looking for professionals who have built data lineage and audit frameworks-not just configured existing lineage tools.
