Data Scientist, Product Analytics

About the role

As a Data Scientist at Meta, you will shape people-facing and business-facing products across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Oculus. Using technical skills, an analytical mindset, product intuition, and a rich data set, you will help define experiences for billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Research, Data Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other areas. You will use data and analysis to address product development challenges, influence product strategy and investment decisions, and focus on impact. Meta's analytics community is dedicated to skill development and career growth in analytics and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Use data to shape product development, quantify opportunities, identify challenges, and assess value for people, businesses, and Meta.
• Help partner teams prioritize what to build, set goals, and understand their product ecosystem.
• Guide teams with data and insights by developing hypotheses and using rigorous analytical approaches, methodologies, frameworks, and technical approaches to test them.
• Communicate data-driven stories with clear insights and recommendations to influence partners and serve as a trusted strategic partner.
• Work with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems.
