Job description
Logitech is hiring a full-time Database Engineer for its software house team in Tehran, Iran. In this on-site role, you will design, maintain, and optimize database systems that support software products and applications. You will report to the Lead Database Architect and work in a collaborative environment where clear communication and team contributions are valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases for performance and scalability.
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Manage database security, backups, and recovery strategies to protect data.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate database solutions into applications.
- Participate in code reviews and improve database design patterns across the team.
- Conduct database audits and troubleshoot issues.
- Stay current with database technologies and management best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud database services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server, or comparable certifications are preferred.
