Databricks L3 Support Lead

About the role

Manage production support for enterprise-scale data platforms and data pipelines.

Tasks

• Provide Level 3 production support for Databricks platforms and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot clusters, notebooks, jobs, Delta Lake, and Spark applications.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent solutions.
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor platform health and proactively resolve reliability issues.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams on deployments and releases.
• Participate in on-call rotations and major incident management.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Ensure SLA/SLO compliance and automate repetitive tasks using scripting and cloud-native tools.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake in production environments.
• Proven experience in L3 production support, incident management, and RCA.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, SQL, or Shell.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead under pressure.
• Any visa status is acceptable. H-1B candidates are not eligible for this FTE position.
