Dental Assistant Contract Job in Rockwood, TN

CHANDAN S is hiring a Dental Assistant for a contract position at its dental practice in Rockwood, Tennessee. The role pays $18 per hour and supports the dental team in delivering quality patient care in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing the required instruments and materials.
• Schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and respond to billing inquiries.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Share oral hygiene guidance and postoperative care instructions with patients.
• Welcome patients, collect medical histories, and address questions or concerns.
• Coordinate with dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists to support smooth patient flow.
• Monitor dental supply inventory and help order materials as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Previous dental assistant experience preferred; candidates with relevant training may be considered.
• Familiarity with dental software and tools is advantageous.
• Dental assisting certification or related credentials are a plus.

Team and Work Setting

Work closely with the lead dentist and the wider dental team in an in-person practice setting. This is a contract role in Rockwood, TN and is not remote.
