About the role
Augusta University College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Chair of the Department of Nursing Science. The College enrolls more than 1,000 students on two campuses and at academic-practice partner sites. It offers BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs.
The Chair provides administrative leadership for the Department, aligning its direction with the College of Nursing mission and strategic plan, with attention to the College and University research strategic plans. The position is part of the College of Nursing Administrative Team and reports to the Dean. It is administrative faculty at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and tenured.
Responsibilities
- Support the research mission of the College of Nursing and Augusta University as a member of the College of Nursing Administrative Team.
- Contribute to the College of Nursing strategic planning process.
- Actively recruit research-intensive faculty for the College of Nursing.
- Foster a culture of research and scholarly engagement.
- Ensure administrative support for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing program.
