Job description
About the role
The Development Officer works within the Planning & Development Unit under the Director of Lands and Infrastructure.
The Officer oversees land use and community planning, GIS mapping, infrastructure records, and unit operations while collaborating with bylaw administrators and regulatory staff to support development in Zagime Anishinabk.
Tasks
- Monitor and oversee land development, planning, GIS mapping, and infrastructure records.
- Serve as the primary contact for predevelopment inquiries, development and building permit applications, and related permitting and certification.
- Coordinate with professional engineers and inspectors throughout development projects.
- Prepare recommendations on subdivisions, developments, and building permit applications for the Director and Council.
- Manage unit budgets and monitor development revenues and expenditures.
- Support land development planning
