DLP Policy & Controls Specialist

Tasks

• Design, implement & tune DLP policies across email, endpoint, web, cloud/SaaS and GenAI environments
• Sensitive data classification & detection
• Policy lifecycle management & control effectiveness
• Work with engineering, operations, risk, compliance & audit teams
• Support regulatory requirements and data residency considerations

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in DLP, cybersecurity, data protection, information security, or technology risk
• Strong hands-on experience with DLP policy creation, implementation, tuning, and lifecycle management
• Experience designing DLP controls across email, endpoint, web, cloud/SaaS, and GenAI environments
• Strong understanding of DLP detection, enforcement, sensitive data classification, and detection methods
• Experience tuning policies to reduce false positives and false negatives
• Ability to translate security, risk, regulatory, and control requirements into deployable DLP policies
• Experience supporting risk, compliance, and audit inquiries, including control gaps, limitations, exceptions, and compensating controls
• Understanding of data residency and jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements
• Experience working closely with engineering and operations teams
• Knowledge of GenAI DLP, DSPM, sensitivity labeling, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or PCI DSS is a plus
• Currently based in or near Montreal, QC
