Job description

Role Description This part-time on-site role is based at Universidad César Vallejo in San Juan de Lurigancho and focuses on teaching Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the undergraduate level. The faculty member will plan, deliver, and evaluate classes, practical sessions, and workshops aligned with the academic curriculum and institutional guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, supervising sports practice and physical conditioning activities, and guiding learners in the development of healthy lifestyles and athletic skills. The role also involves assessing student performance, providing academic advising, maintaining class records, and participating in departmental meetings, academic events, and continuous improvement initiatives. The faculty member is expected to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, contribute to research or extension activities when required, and promote an inclusive and respectful learning environment.Qualifications Solid academic background in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, or a closely related field, with a bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.Demonstrated experience teaching or coaching in university, school, or sports settings, including planning and leading physical education or sports training sessions.Knowledge of exercise physiology, sports pedagogy, training methodologies, and injury prevention, with the ability to apply these concepts in practical and theoretical classes.Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage learners, foster participation, and support diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.Ability to design syllabi, learning activities, and assessment tools that align with institutional standards and promote competency-based education.Commitment to ethical conduct, learner-centered teaching, and continuous professional development, including openness to training in education technology and innovative teaching methods.Basic proficiency with digital tools and learning platforms for managing course materials, communicating with learners, and recording grades and attendance.Availability to work on-site in San Juan de Lurigancho during designated class schedules and to participate in departmental and institutional activities as needed.
