Job description
Neyas Carpenter is hiring a part-time Domiciliary Care Assistant to support people in their own homes across Leeds, West Yorkshire. This community care role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Follow individual care plans, promote client safety and comfort, and report changes in clients’ conditions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Support medication management and encourage clients to follow prescribed health routines.
- Keep accurate care records and communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership.
- Help assess whether clients’ needs are being met.
- Attend team meetings and training to support high-quality care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Care Certificate or an equivalent health and social care qualification.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel to clients’ homes are required.
- Compassion, empathy, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team.
- Caregiving experience is preferred but not essential.
