Taeghan Dalrymple is hiring a full-time Drywall Installer in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This hands-on role involves installing drywall on residential and commercial construction sites. The hourly pay is 30, with compensation based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit walls and ceilings.
- Install drywall sheets with hand and power tools and secure them to wood or metal framing.
- Patch, trim, and prepare drywall for finishing.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and communicate with supervisors and other trades.
Qualifications
- Drywall hanging or construction experience preferred.
- Familiarity with drywall tools, equipment, construction methods, and safety practices.
- Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs and perform physical work, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and overhead tasks.
- Comfort working at heights on ladders or scaffolding.
- Reliable transportation, punctual attendance, and strong attention to detail.
- Steel stud framing, lift or scaffolding operation, drywall finishing, taping, a valid driver's license, and construction certifications are assets.
