EHS Specialist

Henniges Automotive in Reidsville, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to lead plant safety efforts. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Responding appropriately to first-aid incidents, emergencies, and injury reports. • Coordinate safety training programs and certifications, including First Aid and CPR. • Deliver safety training to new hires, including Lockout/Tagout, forklift certification, and plant-wide safety drills. • Lead ISO audits and OSHA compliance initiatives. • Administer chemical and hazardous waste management requirements, including SDS, MSDS, chemical inventory, labeling, accumulation/staging, and disposal. • Lead safety meetings, publish safety communications, and expand safety protocols across the plant. • Analyze safety observations reports and ensure corrective actions are completed. • Own compliance for environmental records, regulatory inspections, environmental sampling activities, and required submissions. • Coordinate required environmental monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting associated with wastewater/pretreatment, air emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, chemical management, and other environmental programs. • Partner with the HR leaders to define workers’ compensation workflows, complete incident investigations. • Drive safety awareness, accountability, and claim continuity with a focus on return-to-work initiatives. This position is 100% onsite, with at least half of each workday spent on the production floor. Preferred Qualifications: • The right person performs well autonomously, is organized, has strong writing skills, and is a persuasive communicator. They possess confident personal-making skills, are results-oriented, and are methodical. • Associate or bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience supporting industrial safety, including workers’ compensation, environmental and OSHA training. ISO 14001 and 45001 certification, and first-aid administration. • Current certifications in Trauma Response/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and CPR. Apply directly on CazVid.
