Our Construction Electrical Division specializes in heavy industrial electrical, medium-voltage systems, and mission-critical infrastructure projects across energy and industrial markets.

Position Objective

The Electrical Estimator – Industrial & Medium Voltage is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings to ensure all requirements are understood and accounted for in order to successfully bid and win projects. This role works closely with subcontractors and Project Management teams to develop competitive bids, track budgets, and support successful project award and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulationsReview bid specifications and drawings for projects ranging approximately from $500K to $10M, ensuring full scope coveragePrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for industrial electrical and medium-voltage systemsPartner with Procurement to secure vendor and supplier pricingIdentify, manage, and maintain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring timely and complete bid coverageDevelop project schedules and cost forecasts to support estimating accuracyTrack and analyze budget-to-actual comparisons throughout the bid lifecycleCollaborate with Project Management to follow up on bids, budgets, and award statusProperly turn over bid documents and subcontractor buyout information to Project ManagersReview drawings with Project Management teams and highlight risks, gaps, or constructability issuesMaintain organized and well-documented estimate filesPerform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)3–5 years of related experience in estimating, construction, or electrical infrastructureExperience with negotiation and subcontractor engagementValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Desired Qualifications

Experience in utility, industrial, or electrical constructionProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software (e.g., Accubid)Exposure to project management or field operationsExperience estimating medium-voltage or industrial electrical projects
