Job description
CarbonBetter is hiring an Energy Analyst Manager in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. This full-time, on-site role supports the company’s Energy Logistics Division, managing natural gas operations, portfolio financial performance, and analyst teams.

What You’ll Do
- Confirm traded volumes and nominate natural gas across pipeline and utility systems.
- Support traders by responding promptly to information requests and monitoring operational constraints.
- Communicate proactively with counterparties, customers, and representatives to build strong working relationships.
- Map gas flows and balance volumes in the ETRM system to support accurate invoicing and P&L allocations.
- Own portfolio P&Ls, including rate setting, asset optimization, trading positions, and risk management.
- Review and approve pipeline transportation invoices, investigate discrepancies, and support the Accounting Team.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, new market entry, product offerings, and other strategic initiatives.
- Help manage a power book through forecasting, regulatory work, and P&L analysis.
- Manage an office and other analysts.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in an analytical field such as mathematics, economics, logistics, or business.
- Advanced English skills.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced functions.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Schedule
This role includes an on-call weekend rotation approximately six times per year, with occasional nights and weekends required.
