Key Responsibilities Drive consistent incremental shipping of engineering deliverables to increase team velocity by 20% or more. Break down complex projects into small, executable user stories with clear acceptance criteria to ensure smooth sprint planning. Review pull requests promptly and thoroughly, maintaining high standards for code readability, correctness, and maintainability. Identify and escalate blockers early to prevent delays and keep project timelines on track. Refine early-stage requirements from stakeholders to clarify scope and prevent rework during development. Enforce story quality gates by ensuring all sprint stories meet a defined quality bar before sprint start. Detect architectural anti-patterns and technical debt early, escalating complex design concerns to senior leadership. Absorb first-line operational load to protect senior leadership from day-to-day execution pulls, enabling strategic focus. What We're Looking For Required: 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead role. Proven track record in agile execution management and quality assurance in fast-paced environments. Strong technical background in code review, software architecture, and engineering best practices. Excellent communication skills to liaise between engineering teams and business stakeholders. Ability to escalate risks and issues proactively without compromising team morale. Preferred: Experience working with AI or machine learning engineering teams. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
