Engineering Specialist

Role Description The Engineering Specialist role at H2O Innovation México is a full-time, on-site position based in Puerto Morelos, ROO. The Engineering Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design, optimization, and implementation of mechanical and manufacturing processes, contributing to the development and improvement of water treatment systems and related equipment. Daily activities include preparing technical drawings and specifications, reviewing engineering documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams on project requirements, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves monitoring production performance, troubleshooting technical issues, proposing process improvements, and assisting in the commissioning and maintenance of equipment. The Engineering Specialist will also participate in project planning, provide technical support to operations and procurement, and prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, diagnose technical problems, and recommend practical engineering solutions.Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordinating resources, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and budget targets.Candidates should possess Manufacturing Engineering skills, with experience in production processes, continuous improvement, and quality and safety standards.Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, equipment, and maintenance practices.Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Additional beneficial skills include proficiency with CAD software, familiarity with industrial control systems, and experience in water treatment or process industries.Ability to work on-site in Puerto Morelos, ROO, demonstrate attention to detail, and maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to technical challenges.
