English Language Teacher

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site English Language Teacher role based at Happy New Dawn Bilingual School and Institute in San Pedro Sula. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives for various age groups and proficiency levels. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans and learning materials, teaching classes, assigning and grading work, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role also involves monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, communicating regularly with families and colleagues, and participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. The teacher is expected to foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs and encourages students’ language development and personal growth.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience guiding learners at different levels.Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and classroom management skills to design structured, engaging learning experiences.Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Education, including knowledge of pedagogical methods and learner-centered approaches.Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.Knowledge of bilingual or ESL/ESL methodology and experience in similar school settings is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively, adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles, and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to non-discriminatory, student-centered practices.
