Epic/APeX Principal Educator

Tasks

• Partner with clinical operations and application teams to design and implement role-based training curricula for APeX (Epic EHR).
• Conduct 1:1 coaching, classroom sessions, and in-service training to streamline clinical workflows and improve documentation efficiency.
• Translate complex clinical processes into clear, operationally focused scenarios, learning modules, and support guides.
• Provide tier-level go-live and ongoing support, troubleshooting clinical application issues, and logging user feedback.
• Work across multiple San Francisco and Bay Area clinical locations (~50% onsite presence based on project milestones).

Requirements

• 5+ years of clinical application training, instructional design, or EHR implementation experience.
• Certified in an Epic Clinical Application (strongly preferred: ClinDoc, Inpatient, Ambulatory, ASAP, or Orders).
• Certified in or eligible to complete Epic TED (Training, Environments, and Documentation).
• In-depth understanding of hospital/ambulatory clinical workflows, clinical documentation, and healthcare standards.
• Demonstrated experience training physicians, nurses, and administrative clinical personnel.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and classroom presentation capabilities.

Schedule

• 6 Months Contract
• Hybrid – ~50% Onsite across UCSF Bay Area sites
