ETL Developer/Development Lead

About the role

Lead data engineering initiatives.

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and guidance to offshore data engineering teams.
• Build batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines across APIs, databases, flat files, and cloud storage.
• Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, profiling, and automated testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish coding standards, integration patterns, and best practices for data engineering.
• Manage project timelines, agile ceremonies, production incidents, and delivery quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development, data engineering, or data warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Python.
• 1–2+ years of experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with data integration technologies such as AWS Glue, Apache Spark, or Kafka.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with batch processing, real-time streaming, and performance optimization.
