ETL/EDW Lead

About the role

Drive data warehouse modernization and cloud migration initiatives, focusing on migrating legacy Sybase databases and ETL workloads to PostgreSQL on AWS.

Tasks

• Lead end-to-end Sybase ASE / IQ to PostgreSQL migration initiatives.
• Analyze legacy ETL / EDW architecture and define migration strategies.
• Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines on AWS.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Optimize database performance, indexing, partitioning, and SQL queries.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and migration testing.
• Coordinate release planning, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders while mentoring ETL teams.

Requirements

• Sybase ASE / IQ and PostgreSQL
• AWS: RDS, EC2, S3, Glue, Lambda, DMS
• ETL Tools: DataStage, SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures
• Data Modeling: Dimensional and OLTP
• Database Migration and Modernization
• Data Validation, Reconciliation, and Performance Tuning
• Agile / Scrum Delivery
• 8+ years of ETL / EDW development and support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Sybase to PostgreSQL migration projects.
• Experience in AWS cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Strong understanding of ETL design patterns and data integration.
• Proven leadership, team coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
