Factory Production Operative

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Component Preparation
Sand, fill, mask, and prepare timber doors and frames for laminating or painting.

Product Assembly
Putting together doorsets, installing ironmongery (hinges, locks, handles), and ensuring proper alignment.

Quality Control
Inspecting finished goods carefully to spot and reject any defects before packaging.

Machinery Operation
Feeding raw materials into specialized factory machine like edge banders, laminating presses, or timber mill cutters.

Finishing & Spraying
Applying state-of-the-art spray finishes, lacquers, stains, or tints to meet custom client order specifications.

Packing & Dispatch
Labelling, protecting, and safely packing completed door units so they are secure for transit.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a production role and working with wood beneficial.

Salary: £12.7ph raising to £14.00ph for the right person
Employment: Permanent
