Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare family law cases involving divorce, child custody, and support hearings.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other case documents.
- Represent clients at court hearings and advocate effectively during litigation.
- Negotiate settlements and advise clients on options and potential outcomes.
- Maintain complete case files and comply with legal and ethical requirements.
- Consult with clients and develop legal strategies tailored to their circumstances.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in West Virginia.
- Family law litigation experience and strong advocacy skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
- Two to five years of family law litigation experience preferred.
