Farm Equipment Mechanic

Tasks

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
• Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, locate and diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools.
• Clean and lubricate parts.
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
• Tune or overhaul engines.
• Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal author

Schedule

• From Dec 1, 2026 to Feb 1, 2027
• Possible weekend/holiday work.

Pay

• $18.48 per hour
• The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
