Farm Equipment Mechanic

Tasks

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
• Tune or overhaul engines.
• Record details of repairs made and parts used.
• & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041.

Requirements

• Visa required: H-2A
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone.
• Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance,

Schedule

• From Dec 1, 2026 to Mar 1, 2027
• Possible weekend/holiday work.

Pay

• $21.43 per hour
• The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
