Farm Equipment Mechanic & Grain Transport Driver

Tasks

• The job duties requested are only performed during the winter months when equipment is removed from field operation and is no longer in use.
• During this off-season period, the primary responsibilities center around the winterization, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all farm equipment and vehicles to ensure their longevity and readiness for the next operational season.
• Winterization duties include draining fluids such as fuel, oil, and coolant; adding fuel stabilizers; disconnecting or removing batteries; lubricating moving parts; sealing engine and cab openings to prevent rodent infestation; applying protective coatings to exposed metal surfaces to guard against corrosion; and conducting a general assessment to prepare equipment for long-term storage.
• In addition to winterization, the position requires post- and preseason inspections of all vehicles and machinery to evaluate wear

Pay

• $24.09 per hour
