Farm Worker

Tasks

• Help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, farm roads and fences
• Field preparation, water maintenance, planting and harvesting of rice
• Driving tractor, equipment and trucks
• Fertilize, spot spray weeds
• Assist with loading and unloading of rice trucks
• Must be able to drive vehicles to various farm locations
• Operate and maintain rice bins including cleaning up of rice spills, sweeping rice spills/pins, leveling bins
• Manually cutting up of fish bait, bait traps, operate crawfish boat, checking of traps
• Traps are removed from the pond, crawfish are emptied into sacks, traps are re-baited and put back in to pond
• Repair crawfish traps as needed, weigh and tag crawfish, load crawfish in truck to deliver to markets
• Frequent stooping and lifting traps, load and unload trucks, wash and grade crawfish

Pay

• $10.42 per hour
