Tasks

• Assist with all job duties assigned and related to livestock.
• Feed and water livestock; monitor feed and water supplies; mix feed, additives, and medications in prescribed amounts; and distribute feed using trucks, tractors, or other farm equipment.
• Examine animals for signs of illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain.
• Assist with animal reproduction, including breeding, artificial insemination, and assisting with births.
• Clean and maintain stalls, pens, livestock areas, and equipment using disinfectants, brushes, shovels, hoses, or pumps.
• Maintain records of animal growth, feeding, and production, as well as inventories of feed, supplies, equipment, and other materials.
• Additional job duties may include sandblasting and painting equipment, brush clearing, and tendering.

Pay

• $19.13 per hour
