Tasks

• prepare fields for planting
• attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools
• operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery
• perform planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities
• irrigate soil using portable pipes or ditch systems and maintain irrigation ditches, pipes, and pumps
• load and unload crops and other agricultural materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, and hand trucks
• load hoppers, containers, and conveyors to feed machines using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, and pitchforks
• guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines and remove diseased or rotten products
• manipulate equipment controls to set, activate, and adjust mech
