Tasks

• Daily upkeep along with repairs and maintenance of farm equipment, shops, barns, levees, and roads
• Mow grass, rake, dig ditches, and remove debris, trash, brush, and weeds, etc.
• Use of hand tools (shovels, sprayer, hoses, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, knives, etc.)
• Harvest crawfish, prepare ponds, maintain water levels, walk levees, and repair as needed
• Build and repair crawfish traps
• Manually cut up crawfish bait, set, bait, check, and re-bait crawfish traps, which involves frequent stooping and lifting of traps from ponds
• Operate push and motorized crawfish boats
• Grade, wash, and sack crawfish for shipment
• Load and unload trucks
• Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, plows, levels, mowers, etc.

• $10.42 per hour
