Field Service Mechanic

About the role

Dragon Excavating Ltd. is a Calgary-based excavation company.

This is primarily a field position.

Tasks

• Maintain and repair construction equipment, heavy-haul trucks, winch trucks, automotive vehicles, and small engines.
• Heavy equipment: excavators from 3 to 25 tonnes, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, undercarriages, attachments, and preventative maintenance.
• Heavy trucks and winch trucks: engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension, air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic winches, PTOs, and associated components.
• Automotive and light-duty vehicles: company pickups, engines, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and general repairs.
• Small engines and support equipment: gasoline and diesel small engines, pumps, generators, compact equipment, and miscellaneous machinery.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify parts and repair requirements, document work, and help reduce equipment downtime.

Requirements

• Experienced, mechanically versatile Field Service Mechanic.
• Enjoys troubleshooting, takes initiative, and understands that downtime affects the whole crew.

Schedule

• Overtime opportunities.

Pay

• $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
