We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Comptroller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of a nonprofit organization while ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and nonprofit accounting standards. This role is open to all candidates in the Philippines and all over Latin America.
What You’ll Be Doing:Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll oversightPrepare accurate monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and financial analyses for leadership and Board reviewMonitor cash flow, oversee banking relationships, and maintain strong financial controls and compliance proceduresLead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory agencies as neededSupport organizational financial planning, process improvements, and documentation of accounting policies and proceduresSupport the client with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, in alignment with the role and overall business objectives
Who We’re Looking For:Excellent written and verbal English communication skillsMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership experiencePrevious experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health environments is highly preferredExperience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite experience is a strong plusStrong understanding of financial reporting, audit preparation, cash flow management, and internal controlsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independentlyAvailable to work in US time zones (Graveyard shift in the Philippines)Available to start within 2 weeks from job offer
Technical Requirements:Comfortable in using time-trackers (e.g. Time Doctor)Own laptop/desktop, noise-cancelling headphones, and webcamReliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps)Available backup equipment in cases of power and internet outages
