Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced FinOps Architect with strong expertise in AWS cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and AI/GenAI cost management. The candidate will drive cloud cost efficiency and optimize AI infrastructure spending, including LLM and GenAI workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement AWS FinOps strategies using Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and compute optimization.
Drive Kubernetes/container cost allocation, tagging, and financial governance.
Optimize AI/ML and GenAI infrastructure costs, including GPU utilization and LLM inference.
Establish tokenomics governance and monitor LLM token consumption.
Optimize GenAI costs through model selection, prompt caching, and context window management.
Implement cost automation, anomaly detection, and forecasting.
Develop cloud cost dashboards and executive-level financial reports.
Partner with engineering, architecture, and finance teams on TCO, ROI, and CapEx/OpEx optimization.
Required Skills:
10+ years of overall cloud/infrastructure/IT financial management experience.
5+ years of hands-on FinOps and AWS cost optimization.
3+ years managing AI/ML infrastructure costs or LLM/GenAI token governance.
AWS Architecture, Kubernetes, cloud billing, and cost allocation.
GPU optimization, vector databases, LLM inference, prompt caching, and context windows.
FinOps Framework (Inform, Optimize, Operate), FOCUS, and Tokenomics.
Strong understanding of TCO, ROI, CapEx, and OpEx.
Mandatory Certifications:
FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP) or FinOps Certified Professional.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
Good to Have:
FinOps Foundation AI Value or Technology Value certifications.
