Firmware Engineer

Tasks

• Own firmware features from requirements through design, implementation, integration, testing, and defect resolution
• Develop reliable and maintainable embedded software in C++
• Debug complex software/hardware interaction issues
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, systems, software, and architecture teams
• Create unit/integration tests and improve automated test coverage
• Participate in code/design reviews and technical documentation
• Work independently to resolve ambiguous technical problems

Requirements

• 5+ years
• Strong C++ / Modern C++
• Embedded Firmware Development
• Object-Oriented Design & Memory Management
• Linux development environments
• Multithreading & Concurrency
• Hardware/Device Interfaces
• Debugging, Emulators & Logic/Protocol Analyzers
• Git & Build/Container Workflows
• Unit & Integration Testing
• Continuous Integration (CI)
• Preferred: RTOS experience
• Preferred: Multi-threaded/concurrent software
• Preferred: Hardware bring-up & board-level debugging
• Preferred: Device drivers & communication protocols
• Preferred: FPGA/firmware integration
• Preferred: Safety-critical or regulated product development
• Preferred: Agile/Scrum experience
• 5+ years of professional embedded/firmware development experience with strong C++ skills and hands-on hardware interaction
