Forklift Operator

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm or 12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.

Starting Pay: $18/hour for M-F position or $21/hour for swing shift position.

RESPONSIBILITES

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

Unload and upload large lumber like material.Identify damages.Report shortages.Report quality deficiencies.Transport raw materials to production workstations.Inspect machinery.Determine the need for repairs.Keep updated records of inventory.Produce activity logs.Comply with company policies and guidelines.Assist in keeping a safe environment.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm or 12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.Occasional bending and lifting up to 20 lbs.Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.Ability to enter and exit forklift multiple times per shift as well as climb onto and off the forklift.

QUALIFICATIONS

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

2 years of experience operating an industrial type forklift.Ability to operate a forklift in various environments and conditions.Strong attention to safety protocols and operational guidelines.Valid Driver's License.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of safety regulations, load capacity limits, stability considerations, and best practices for forklift operation in various environments.Basic understanding of forklift mechanics, including routine maintenance, pre- and post-operation inspections, and the ability to identify and report mechanical issues.Familiarity with warehouse procedures, inventory management, and material handling practices to effectively navigate and operate within a warehouse or industrial setting.Understanding of spatial considerations, including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces, stack and unstack materials, and navigate through warehouse layouts.
